Hotel Le Dome

It's easier to say what wasn't broken than what was. The beds are fine but everything else is desperate for renovations or repairs. The first room I got were extremely hot whiteout any AC and the room was packed with the stink of old tobacco smoke. I got a different room which didn't smell like smoke, but where more or less everything was broken. The tv didn't work. The faucet in the bathroom sprayed water everywhere. The bathroom had a shower and bath, but the bath faucet didn't work and the shower was painful. If you showered for five minutes, everything in the bathroom was wet. The room had a portable AC which kinda worked but filled the room with a horrible stench. The chair in the room fell apart on the first use. The door handle fell off. To top it all off, the rooms aren't sound isolated at all so you'll hear every single vehicle on the very busy street all night long as if they were driving inside the room. At least the location is fine and the breakfast wasn't terrible. Weird that they use plastic cups instead of real glasses which they had in droves, but it probably makes some sense if you don't care about money or the environment.

The hotel is very dated but something charming about it, the hotel is spotless, room cleaned everyday. The location is great with access to trains, buses and trams, you can walk to the grand place in 10 mins and Brussels central station also 10 min walk. We had a room overlooking the busy main road with two sets of balcony doors, it was nice listening to the hustle and bustle of a busy city and we were so tired from walking all day that we slept through the noise at night. However the Friday night was busier and we tried to get 2hrs sleep before heading to the airport and couldn’t. We had breakfast included and it was good! Filled us up for the day.
